Product Support Specialist - Microscopes - Surbiton, Surrey (will initially start from home)

International digital imaging, precision optics and instrument technology brand requires a Product Support Specialist, with excellent interpersonal skills to provide technical and product support to customers and the internal field sales team, across their healthcare business.

As the Product Support Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all customer issues are resolved promptly, through high quality technical knowledge and that the progress and action plan for all customer cases are communicated effectively to relevant staff 
  • Operating business processes including, but not limited to; SAP, CRM, Technical Service documentation and reporting
  • Acting as the central point of contact for product information
  • Creating, maintaining and owning centralised knowledge database for all products
  • Assisting Key Account Managers and Advanced Imaging Specialists with answering Technical Response questions in tenders 
  • Providing customers with first line communications and support for all product enquiries
  • Facilitating training sessions for new and existing staff and passing on insights and information received from the wider Europe team.

The successful candidate for the role of Product Support Specialist will:

  • Have a university degree in Biosciences or Biophysics related subject
  • Have experience of microscopy ideally gained within an academic research or clinical environment
  • Have experience of providing technical or product support 
  • Have an interest in technology and strong IT skills and excellent customer service experience
  • Have analytical and problem solving skills, with experience of creating and maintaining standard operating procedures

In return, the Product Support Specialist will receive a basic salary of circa £25,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience. You will also receive 27 days holiday plus bank holidays. The company offers a company pension, private medical care, travel allowance, discount on products and more. Hours are 37 per week Monday-Friday with flexible working based on 10am - 4pm core hours.
