Part-time Membership Administrator - 20k - 25k pro rata

Part-time Membership Administrator, required to support this established conference & events organisation. 

Working approximately 20 hours per week, you will be the first point of contact for their members, providing information, advice and support in respect of their attendance at events or membership of client organisations.

You will need to be very client-focused with strong administrative, organisational, communication and customer service skills and demonstrate the ability to calmly manage a variety of tasks in an accurate and timely manner to meet strict deadlines.

In the role of Membership Administrator, some of the typical responsibilities include:

  • Process membership applications using bespoke software systems
  • Provide regular reports to keep both our internal management team and clients informed of progress of each project
  • Handle high volumes of telephone calls and emails and responding in a timely and professional manner
  • Reconcile receipt of payments and undertaking credit control to ensure all membership fees are paid in full and on time
  • Support the preparation of regular newsletters, e-zines and other membership communications and marketing materials
  • Maintain dynamic and interactive websites combined with social media activity for business
  • Assist with logistics of multiple events, undertaken by several Conference Managers,Identifying and placing appropriate advertising and publicity for client events
  • Attend conferences throughout the UK and occasionally abroad will be expected. This will include overnight stays

To perform the role of Membership Administrator you will: 

  • Be degree educated or equivalent 
  • Experience of office procedures including drafting business correspondence 
  • Proven experience of maintaining appropriate administration procedures
  • Ability to prioritise and take instruction from a number of Managers/Directors 
  • Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of MS Office, excellent Excel skills, knowledge of website management and social media in a business environment
  • You will thrive in a pressured environment, be able to prioritise a heavy workload and have keen attention to detail.
