Management Accountant (part qualified)

As a long established, highly influential sporting organisation the role of Management Accountant is an integral part of the company. This is a broad role with involvement with all aspects of the business and with colleagues at all levels, including Finance Committee.
Part qualified CIMA or ACCA

As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts, including variance analysis
- Manage monthly debtor reporting and departmental reporting, holding regular meetings with budget holders to review monthly reports and explain variances
- Preparation and review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Annual review of insurance requirements and reporting to Finance Committee
- Finance committee and committee reporting
- Preparation of management accounts and commentary for the finance committee/Board
- Budgeting/forecasting/Year end/Tax reporting
- Preparing tax returns, including VAT returns and submitting EU refunds
- Management of 2 direct reports
- Process Improvement
The successful candidate for the role of Management Accountant (part qualified) will:
- Have management reporting experience, including variance analysis, preferably in a multi-currency environment
- Have the ability to manage a small team effectively, providing coaching where needed
- Strong systems skills, including Excel and accounting systems
- Be part qualified CIMA/ACCA
