Innovative, established, but growing accountancy and tax specialist require an experienced IT Manager to be responsible for migration of 5 newly acquired practices to be centralised in one of their South West London locations.
This is a 6 month contract to start immediately
As IT Manager, you will need to ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for their users.
As IT Manager some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Establishing the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards
- Design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment;
- Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation;
- Migration of data from old servers to new;
- Upgrading various software as mentioned above and liaising with the software vendors to resolve ‘systems’ issues;
- Remote support of on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation;
- Remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation;
- Speaking with customers via email and phone for initial requirement capture.
To complete the role of IT Manager, you will have:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience of managing IT in organisations of similar scale, including IT planning, project management and hands on technical operations
- Excellent communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of managing IT operational and capital budgets
- Microsoft Certification - MCP/MCSA/MCSE
6 month contract to start immediately - Based mainly in Richmond, Surrey, but there will be a requirement to potentially travel to some of their other sites.
