Part-time HR Coordinator

30 hours per week (Hours around 8.30am -2.30pm - with some flexibility) Monday-Friday. Potential for some hybrid working after a period of training. 52 weeks per year, less 28 days holiday entitlement

Leading Independent day school, requires an experienced Administrator to provide support to the Director of HR and to work alongside a full time HR & Recruitment Administrator in the provision of high quality, efficient day-to-day HR service to the school.

Set within beautiful grounds, you will be working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 2.30pm - 52 weeks a year, less holiday entitlement. In return you will receive a salary of up to £26,298 (Based on a full time equivalent salary of £32,872 per annum), free lunches each day, use of sports and gym facilities, including swimming pool, health cash plan, group pension scheme, free parking, generous occupational sick pay scheme, learning and development opportunities including financial support for study, school fee reductions.

As part time HR Coordinator you will be responsible for: 

  • Maintaining personnel files in an orderly, secure and confidential manner and inline with data protection requirements
  • Answering and deal with day to day enquiries (both internal and external)
  • Processing information onto the HR database
  • Maintaining staff records onto a single central register
  • The efficient running of staff recruitment and selection processes through advertising media, placing job adverts, responding to candidate queries, producing interview schedules, booking rooms etc.
  • Preparing employment contracts for check and sign off by the Director of HR
  • Sending out induction checklists and probationary review forms
  • Being the first point of contact for staff HR queries
  • Carrying out general HR duties

To fulfil the role of Part Time HR Coordinator you will have/be: 

  • Previous , solid background in office administration, ideally with some focus on HR or Recruitment 
  • Certificate in HR practice/CIPD or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Accuracy and a strong eye for detail, with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong IT skills 
  • Experience of using an HR database
  • Professional and approachable
