Executive Assistant - Higher Education

Well established, higher education environment, requires an Executive Assistant, to work in partnership with their current Executive Assistant, to provide full, comprehensive support to the Provost and Vice Provosts. 

In the role of Executive Assistant you will be required to ensure that the organisation and all matters relating to their work, office systems and activities are performed efficiently. The role involves a wide range of activities, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism throughout 

Some of your day to day responsibilities will include: 

  • Complex diary management, including organisation of internal and external meetings and making travel and accommodation arrangements 
  • Assist with visitors, both in person and over the phone 
  • Deal with correspondence, emails and calls
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders, on behalf of the Provost and Vice Provost 
  • Review incoming correspondence and prioritise what needs to dealt with
  • Assist with coordinating and overseeing events and projects, including; inaugural lectures, presentations, receptions

The role of Executive Assistant requires: 

  • Proven PA/EA experience, within an Higher education environment 
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and the ability to develop and utilise new IT systems 
  • Strong organisational, communication and time management skills 
  • Ability to manage electronic diaries and coordinate appointments and meeting schedules 
  • Accurate minute taking experience 
  • Flexible, proactive team player 
  • Experience of organising small events witihin budget 
  • Able to work on multiple projects at any one time. 

In return you will receive a competitive salary, 30 days annual leave per year, plus additional days over the Christmas period. You will work 35 - 40 hours per weeks
