Housing charity, based in Surrey are looking to hire an experienced Deputy Scheme Manager to oversee housing management services to residents in their retirement housing.

This role can be residential or non-residential depending on your preference. If appointed and you wished to be residential, you would be provided with a 2 bedroom property and rent and water rates would be covered. 

You would be required to work: 

Monday & Tuesday 8:30am - 5pm (with 1 hour for lunch) 

Thursday 8:30am - 1pm and overnight on call from 5pm Thursday to 8:30am Friday

Friday 8:30am - 5pm (with 1 hour for lunch) 

You will also be required to work 1 weekend in 4, providing on call emergency cover. You will also be placed on a rota, to work a couple of bank holidays a year. 

In this busy and varied role of Deputy Scheme Manager you will be required to:

  • Promote independence and access support solutions for residents
  • Maintain good records of the residents, in order to quickly contact doctors or family members
  • Organise the reception, introduction and integration of new residents
  • Keep an eye on the health of individual residents, to recognise signs of needs and to suggest they contact the doctor or appropriate help as necessary 
  • First responder to deal with personal emergencies, give first aid and general assistance until expert help arrives. 
  • Act as facilitator on behalf of all residents to ensure that they receive any help needed for Social Services Departments or other agencies. 
  • Acquaint residents with social activities in the charity and in the community and encourage participation. 
  • Maintain security and health and safety procedures 
  • Note any faults and ensure they are logged with the maintenance team to fix quickly. 

To fulfil the role of Deputy Scheme Manager you will have: 

  • Full DBS check 
  • Proven experience of working in a similar role with older people 
  • Happy to be based on site in residential property or live a short drive to Richmond, Surrey 
  • Full current driving licence, with own car 
  • Excellent team player 
  • Strong communication skills at all levels 
  • Understands safeguarding, with a natural warmth, compassion, sympathetic and kind personality. 

Should you wish to not be residential, you must live within a 10 - 15 minute drive of Central Richmond, so that when on call emergencies arise, you can attend quickly. 

£26,500 - £28,500 Dependent if residential.
