Accounts Receivable Accountant
Full time permanent role
International, well-known brand name organisation, requires an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join their amazing team based in Richmond. As AR Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining the sales ledgers of 3 brands, chasing debts and issuing credit notes for stock and price claims, rebates and promotional trade spend agreements. The role will report into the Senior Accountant.
As AR Accountant you will be responsible for:
Maintenance of Sales Ledgers:
- Prepare sales ledgers with commentaries to be reviewed with Senior Accountant
- Contact customers (major supermarkets but also smaller independent stores) to chase overdue invoices
Processing and Analysis of Trade Spend documents
- Recording, documenting, getting approvals of trade spend documents received from customers: sales teams and retailers agree on promotions that must be accounted for accurately and in a timely manner by the AR Accountant
Analysis of Debit Balances:
- Investigate and analyse debit notes deducted from customers’ payments
- Liaise with Sales team to solve price queries
- Liaise with Supply Chain to solve stock queries
Ad-hoc duties:
- Annual external audit: provide auditors with invoices, proof of deliveries, respond to invoice-related queries
The successful candidate for the role of AR Accountant will:
- Have at least 2 years experience in AR (accounts receivable) ideally working on large accounts
- Excel skills
- Good written French would be an advantage
In return the AR Accountant will receive a basic salary of up to £37,000 and 25 days holidays. No weekend working and a strong social/work balance.
