Accountant
Established financial services organisation, requires an experienced Senior Accountant (qualified by experience or academically) who has proven supervisory experience and is able to review financial statements
Based in their offices in Barnes, South West London, you will be working Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm.
In return you will receive a salary of between 43k - 45k and standard company benefits and the opportunity to be part of an established and busy organisation, that will utilise your skills and experience.
As Senior Accountant, some of the key areas you will be responsible for include:
- Interactions with clients via email, telephone and in person meetings.
- Ability to mentor and provide training to team members
- Preparation of financial statements for clients under FRS105 and FRS102 (1A).
- Preparing clients’ VAT Returns.
- Preparation of sole trader accounts, partnership accounts and rental accounts.
- Preparation of corporation tax computations and forms CT600.
- Company secretarial duties including arranging for new incorporations, preparation of and filing annual Confirmation Statements, dealing with issues in respect of changes in directors and/or shareholders.
- Preparation of Accountant References for lenders and landlords.
- Checking HM Revenue & Customs’ Statements of Account, tax calculations and PAYE Coding Notices.
- Ad hoc liaisons with clients and HM Revenue & Customs.
To fulfil the role of Senior Accountant, you will have / be:
- Qualified by proven experience in a similar role or gained through work and studies
- Good knowledge of SAGE, Quickbooks and Xero
- IRIS/PTP desirable
- Personal Tax software experience desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Proven experience of supervising others
- Must have experience of working in an accountancy practice
