At Harris Jones, our team of consultants works closely with each client to develop an in-depth understanding of your company culture and specific requirements, not just for an immediate recruitment need, but so that we are able to develop a longer term, tailored approach, for your future needs.

Your Account

Your dedicated account manager will work with you to create a full job specification, including company history, facilities and benefits. Your particular needs, including both the skills and personalities required are considered in detail.

Our Candidates

Our reputation for excellence stems in part from the exceptional quality candidates we attract for both temporary and permanent positions. Our extensive database has been built up and is maintained, through local and national advertising and, all importantly, through personal referral and recommendation.

Quality is ensured through selection of applicants on the basis of both interview testing procedures. Our consultants' specialist knowledge ensures candidates receive a professional in-depth interview and, where appropriate, all candidate skills are assessed on our Qwiz testing and training system (test results are available on request). Free training is provided to enhance candidates' skills if necessary.

Permanent Staff Service

If you place a permanent vacancy with Harris Jones we will provide you with an indication of the number of suitable candidates we have within 24 hours. CVs will only be sent once a candidate has confirmed an interest in the particular vacancy.

Temporary Staff Service

When Harris Jones receives a request for a temporary member of staff, clients can expect continual communication regarding the progress and activity of sourcing a suitable candidate.

Temporary response time:

  • On a booking for the same day - immediate when possible and if not, then within the hour
  • On a booking for the next day - within 4 hours
  • On a booking made in advance - within 24 hours to confirm suitable candidates are available and then on a timescale agreed with the client
  • On a booking for the same day - immediate when possible and if not, then within the hour

To guarantee that our temporary staff are of the highest quality, Harris Jones ensures that:

  • Two references are obtained prior to a candidate being sent to a booking.
  • All candidate skills are tested on our Qwiz system
  • Confirmation of candidate interest, commitment and availability for the booking will be obtained prior to their details being submitted
  • A full briefing regarding the company, duration of booking, rates of pay, available facilities and a contact name will be provided for the candidate
  • Temporaries will be checked in to ensure their prompt arrival
  • Quality checks regarding the progress of the temporary will be made on a regular basis
  • On completion of an assignment a Quality Reference form is sent for the company to complete. These responses are closely monitored and responded to.
